Bow down: Prince's new album is finally out, but only on Tidal

If you're still resisting a leap onto the bandwagon that is Jay Z's high-end streaming service, this could be the release that changes your mind: On Sunday night, the Purple One dropped his 34th studio album exclusively on Tidal.

Users can play all 11 tracks right now; outsiders can snag 30-second listens of each song, or sign up for a free 30-day trial to hear the whole shebang. (After that first month, a Tidal subscription will set you back $9.99 — or $19.99 for HiFi — per month.)

Prince's album includes funky collaborations with Judith Hill, Curly Fryz, Lianne La Havas and Rita Ora, as well as plenty of callbacks to his former work; check out the trippy slo-mo intro to opening track "Million $ Show," for example, which you'll recognize from "1999." Read more...
