Uber is planning a major Chinese expansion to 100 more cities in 2016, company CEO Travis Kalanick said Tuesday
Uber, which is currently available in less than 20 cities in China, will finance the expansion with the $1.2 billion it raised in its latest — and still ongoing, according to Reuters — round of funding in the country
"When we started this year, we were about 1% market share. Today, nine months later, we're looking at about 30% to 35% market share", Kalanick said at an event in Beijing hosted by Chinese search engine Baidu, a major investor in Uber Read more...
