Sam Smith will sing the James Bond 'Spectre' theme song

LONDON — The "will he or won't he" is finally over. It's been confirmed that Sam Smith will sing the theme song for the upcoming Bond movie Spectre.

There has been endless speculation about who might get the gig, with bookmakers favouring Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran and even Radiohead, but on Tuesday Smith tweeted that he's lending his voice to the latest instalment of the iconic franchise.

This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song.
