Britain, acting with 'head and heart,' will resettle 20,000 Syrian refugees by 2020

LONDON — Prime Minister David Cameron said Britain will take in up to 20,000 refugees from war-torn Syria over the course of the current session of parliament in the next five years.

Speaking on the first day of parliament since the summer break, Cameron said Britain had a moral responsibility to help the refugees who are currently living in camps that neighbour the conflict
