Bon Jovi's plans to perform in China have been shot through the heart

Turns out that this is a song for the broken-hearted.

Jon Bon Jovi made headlines — and racked up 1.3 million YouTube views — in August, when he recorded a cover of Teresa Teng's classic Chinese love song "Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin" (The Moon Represents My Heart)." The recording was meant to commemorate Bon Jovi's very first trip to mainland China, which was scheduled to happen this month.

But it appears those plans have been shot through the heart; multiple outlets report that Bon Jovi's Beijing, Shanghai and Macao shows appear to have been canceled. The band's performance permits have been pulled, according to The Washington Post; Chinese ticketing website Damai.cn wrote on Weibo that it's no longer selling seats for the shows, though all three still appear on the site itself, The Guardian reported.
