The new Australian 49er: The low down on Jarryd Hayne

Sports fans in Australia have been going mental for a guy called Jarryd Hayne for months, and now Americans have a real reason to take notice.

On Saturday local time, it was announced Hayne, who stepped onto an NFL field for the first time less than a year ago, has made the 53-man roster for the San Francisco 49ers. It comes just 11 months after the Australian announced he was switching codes of football and countries to give his life-long NFL dream a shot.
